Wendy Van Dort
Wendy began practicing yoga 15 years ago to improve her physical fitness. Realising that the benefits of yoga are more than just physical, she decided to delve deeper into yogic study and philosophy and undertook her Yoga Teacher Training in 2012 in the Krishnamacharya tradition, a Classical style yoga that has a therapeutic and holistic approach to wellness using breath, posture and sound.
“Yoga is such a huge part of my life that extends well beyond the mat. It has held and nourished me on so many levels I am eternally grateful and would love to share this knowledge and wisdom with others so they too can experience the benefits.”
Wendy maintains a regular personal practice, and enjoys teaching restorative classes the most as the slower movements allow access the more subtle layers of the body and our awareness. Her classes focus on gentle asana, breath, visualisation and sound and are deeply nourishing. They benefit all people, especially those experiencing change, stress or recovering from illness or injury.
